Trouble Paying Rent? Help Is Available

If you’re experiencing financial hardship, several local programs may be able to assist with rent, utilities, or other essential expenses:

  • Adult Emergency Financial Assistance Program (AEFAP)
    Provides financial assistance to Pinellas County residents aged 18 or older, without minor children, to help prevent evictions, foreclosures, and maintain employment. Assistance is available once every 12 months and is paid directly to landlords or utility providers.

    A free, 24/7 helpline connecting residents to local resources, including housing assistance, food programs, and crisis support.

    Apply for food assistance (SNAP), cash assistance (TANF), and Medicaid through the state’s online portal.
