Tampa Bay cracks national Top 10 list for real estate investors

The recent success of the Tampa Bay Lightning improved real estate in the area thanks to a generous owner. With the help of Lightning owner Jeff Vinik and Bill Gates’ Cascade Investment, L.L.C., a new $3 billion dollar development is being planned, bringing significant growth to the downtown area. The cost of living in Tampa is 3% lower than the national average and home to 5 Fortune 500 companies. The recent expansion of the Panama Canal, Tampa is going to experience a ripple effect stronger than before. More ships are going to dock in the port for trade and military supplies. In return, Tampa’s expected to add significant rental demand for short-term employees in the area.
